5 Days Post op

Sunday morning, I’m sitting in my living room,  the balcony doors wide open with a tease of fall in the air.

Saturday was probably my worst day since I’ve been home. I did more than I was meant to.  I cleaned Fi’s litter box and ordered a bunch of Powerade Zero and carried it in from the door. I’m not meant to carry more than a gallon of milk at a time,  I had 6 x 32 oz bottles of Powerade.

I hurt last night.  Not excruciating pain, but I hurt.  It was not the feeling of gas in my body, was like something is going to tear,  I took a tramadol last night and I feel great this morning.  I guess,  sweeping will have to wait a few more days.

My diet till Wednesday consists of the following:

20- 40 oz of Liquid, including water, protein shakes.

I’m still currently on a full liquid diet.  This means,  I’m able to eat non fat yoghurt,  protein shakes, water, Powerade, sugar free jello and sugar free pudding.

I’m still not feeling hungry,  Which is kind odd.  I do find myself going to the kitchen to scounge for something, but I realize that is what I always did,  Whilst sitting on the couch, I’d go find something to nibble on and if I didn’t have anything, I’d order food from Door Dash.

One of the key things to remember with this lifestyle is to always be prepared.  I have sugar free popsicles,  protein drinks, sugar free jello and pudding available.  I haven’t craved anything yet, but I’m sure once week 5 hits and I’m on a “normal” diet,  I’ll be wanting to try and tasted.

The picture above is one of the incisions. They’re looking better, not a lot of bruising.

It is not an easy Journey, but one worth it I think.
