I learnt a major lesson last night. For the past month, I have only felt nauseous when I’ve had to much to drink. I’ve pretty much kept my food consumption to the guidelines. Well last night, I was cold and tired and decided I would have a slice of Toasted whole grain bread with cheese. The bread I chose was Daves Killer Bread thin sliced 21 whole grain and seed. Lets just say this didn’t sit well with my stomach.
Within about 20 minutes I was in excruciating pain. I tried to throw up, by shoving my finger down my throat, that didn’t help. I finally curled up on my bed in a fetal position and cried myself to sleep. Honestly, that was the most comfortable position. I have now started creating a list of food that my body will not tolerate.
So check bread. I may try this again in a few months, (does break freeze?).
The weekend was not much of a challenge food wise. I just need to remember to eat and drink water. I found wheat / corn tortillas that are really pretty good. Corn I know I can handle. The wheat was my issue. These are good, if I take small bites and chew it a lot I can handle it.
Breakfast this morning (Sunday November 3rd) was the wheat / corn tortilla, a scrambled egg and some Swiss cheese. Something in that combination did not like me. I was so nauseous after that. It lasted for about 45 minutes. To make things easy for the next week at work, I’ll do Cream of Wheat for breakfast. I also made ground turkey curry. and Chicken curry. Those will be lunches and dinners for the week. I did buy a piece of salmon so I can do that with avocado for my dinners at home.
This is certainly an adjustment. a few months ago, I would have ordered dinner from Doordash and had a salad and / or taco’s with chips. No junk food was consumed this weekend. Woot..
