Working out

I’ve been struggling to workout recently. When I first started working from home, I would take a 20 minute walk through my parking garage. I would walk from the 2nd floor to the 6th and back again. Because it was March / April, days were mild. I got out of the habit and the beginning of July I decided I need to start again. Bad habits have been creeping back and its time to get on track.

Last week I woke at 4:30am it was 77 degrees outside but I figure if I did not start then, it likely would not happen at all. So I started with a 30 minute walk. Fast forward a week and I am almost at 40 mins and just at 2.2 miles. I walk Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I start walking between 5:00am and 5:30am. This gives me ample time to cool down before I start working at 8am.

This morning was my longest walk of 2.2 miles and 36 minutes. That wasn’t bad I think. I will be doing a max of 40 minutes a day. Perhaps I can get to 2.5 miles. I have also started doing resistance training (with resistance bands).

Working out is so not easy or even fun. But it is necessary for me to burn a little more fat daily.
