It has been a while

It has been a while since I’ve posted. There has been a ton of stuff going on and I won’t bore myself with typing it all out. I’ll be getting back on track now.

Mostly my eating has been perfect, there have been a few meals over the past few months that has not been compliant. I have also stopped walking and started swimming. I will admit that my 45 minutes of swimming has been wonderful.

I am also starting to really look at ingredients when shopping. I’m totally amazing at the amount of oil and sugar that they manage to sneak into food.

With that being said, I am concentrating on cooking more meals at home and less take out / eating out. I also have more control by cooking on the ingredients. I recently had a meal at a chain restaurant. There was so much oil on the pasta, my stomach revolted.

With that, one of my fave crackers is Mary’s Gone Crackers. The ingredients are all compliant and I love the crunch of them. I do also love hummus, but it is incredibly difficult to find an oil free hummus, but Cedars has on and it is absolutely delish.

Ingredients of Mary’s gone crackers

Organic whole grain brown rice, organic whole grain quinoa, organic brown flax seeds, organic brown sesame seeds, filtered water, organic garlic, organic herbs, sea salt, organic wheat-free tamari (water, organic whole soybeans, salt, organic vinegar). Contains soy.

Ingredients for Cedars Fat free, Oil Free Hummus

Steamed Chickpeas (Chickpeas, Water), Sea Salt, Roasted Garlic, Citric Acid, Cumin, Guar Gum.  Made in a Facility that Processes Sesame.

These are my fave snacks. I always have a box of crackers and a tub of hummus in the pantry.
